I Write, therefore I am - My Story (Since 10 Years Old)

When I was a kid, I loved drawing, painting, and hand-lettering so much that I could keep doing them without any break, and I could even skip the meals for them. At the age of 10, I had the opportunity to choose my extra-curriculum activity in my primary school. On the list, there were many choices such as cooking, basketball, computer, etc. I saw the option "Western Calligraphy". I picked it without any hesitation. Once I tried, I fell in love with it immediately. The first script I learnt was Italic and I still remember how thrilled I was to have a special broad-edge calligraphy pen in my hand.

In 2017, I launched my brand, Li's Calligraphy, and started to teach different tailor-made workshops, collaborate with various brands, universities, and corporates, and deliver bespoke on-site and in-house writing services. Initially, I started my brand with a simple Facebook Fan Page pure-heartedly to share what I was passionate about; I created the brand without any network or connection. Amazingly, the first few workshops were all full. The media approached me and conducted detailed interviews on my personal story of calligraphy. Luxury brands and universities reached out to me for bespoke workshops and writing. That was how I built up my Calligraphy Planet, one step at a time.

In 2024, one of my long-term dreams came true—I set up my own studio, where I can share the unique happiness and warmth of beautiful handwriting with every Calligraphy Lover!
