初學者如何選擇字體 - Which Script to Start with as a Newbie?

這是我教學9年多的時間中，其中一個最常聽到的問題。我的答案是：選一種你最喜歡的字體就好了！

我相信、也深深在經驗中體會到，人們在感到快樂時是吸收得最好的！快樂是學習自己喜歡的、按心意揀選的！學一種打從內心覺得漂亮和喜歡的字體，在學習的過程中期待學有所成、寫得一手優雅作品，這本身就是最好的動力！

至於初學者常見的擔心：「哪一種容易學得懂？」，我的答案是「你怎樣學得懂是我的教學責任，把這個交給我，你放心來學來enjoy好了！」。我的課程包括不同字體：Italic、Copperplate、Gothic、Modern，所有都能以Beginners Level學起的。是否學得懂最重要的是選對筆具、有系統和按正確的方法學習。 

在過程中一筆一劃的看見自己的進步，熟練就在不知不覺中建立起來！

This is one of the questions I’ve been asked most often throughout my 9+ years of teaching. My answer is simple: choose the script you love the most.

From both belief and experience, I’ve realised that people learn best when they feel joyful. True enjoyment comes from learning something you genuinely love —something you choose from the heart. When you are drawn to a script you find beautiful and look forward to creating elegant work, that anticipation becomes your strongest motivation.

As for a common beginner concern—“Which style is easier to learn?”—my answer is this: how you can learn effectively is my responsibility. Leave that to me, and simply come and enjoy the process.

My courses cover Italic, Copperplate, Gothic, and Modern scripts, all offers beginners level programme. What matters most is using the right tools and learning through a structured approach.

As you see your progress in every stroke, your skills will build naturally—often without you realising it.
